Before/After School Program

I posted this on the parenting site but thought maybe there were some teachers here that are in these districts as well.

I teach in Queens and we start our extended day at 8:00 so I was hoping for some help/info.

My husband and I are looking to move. We are thinking Wantagh, Seaford or Massapequa. I know that Massapequa has an early morning program but it's lottery based.

Does anyone have info about the programs in either Wantagh or Seaford. Are they based on lottery as well? Do they have them at all? I'm mostly concerned about the before school but any info anyone has would be appreciated.

TIA!

also look into day care centers. We can drop off there and they get bussed to school. Same in the afternoon.
