BTDT moms. Clothes for LO at the hosp?
Aside from the outfit he'll be coming home in, is it necessary to bring other outfits or onsies to put him in while we're in the hospital (I'm having a c-section so we'll be in the hospital for 3 nights 4-ish days)?

No, you literally don't have to bring anything at all for the baby. They will dress the baby in a onesie and swaddle them. Then when the baby is in the room with you they will be in a bassinet that is stocked with extra onesies, swaddle blankets, diapers, wipes, literally everything you need. The only thing you need for them is what to bring them home in.

i brought a ton of outfits, plus his going home outfit
the onesies they give you are very blah
all the nurses joked that i had the best-dressed baby in the ward!
if people are visiting you, you may want to dress the baby cute

Exactly. the hospital gives you everything and anything you need, just ask for it.

didn't bring anything for baby but going home outfit.
My hospital did not use onesies, just long sleeve side snap tee shirts and a diaper. Seemed easier with the frequent changes to me.

agreed! All i brought was her going home outfit and that was all i needed

BRING 2 OUTFITS! 
as soon as I put DS coming home outfit on him, he managed to pee right through it. somehow, he leaked often with the gauze from the circ!! 
better safe than sorry

Nope, we didn't bring anything besides the coming home outfit. They are given the side snap onesies and that's all you'll need. They will also be swaddled the entire time in the hospital blankets.

It's so much easier to just leave them in the hospital t-shirt thay are put in....For yourself, the nurses, doctors etc.....

I brought 2 outfits, a bunch of onesies a couple of hats and booties and guess what...I only used the hats and the booties so I wouldn't bother bringing all this stuff this time around...

I just brought 2 coming home outfits..didn't know which would fit..DD was in a side button shirt and swaddled...made it so much easier to change her especially since moving around was not so easy after a c/s..

Most do a long sleeve side snap shirt. Actually I don't think I've ever heard of anything different. I said onesie in my post but the shirt is what I meant. This way when you unswaddle them (and when the nurses do) they can easily change their diapers and examine them.

You dont need anything for in the hospital
For going home I would bring:
two outfits ( side snap - took me a few days to get used to pulling stuff over her head LOL )
socks, hat, blanket so you can use the A/C in the car.

I have two hats that I'm brining and little mittins to avoid any scratching in case he breaks out of his swaddle. And his coming home outfit is pants, a side snap t-shirt and a side-snap long sleeve shirt and I'll be bringing a beautiful blanket my sister made for him.
