Has anyone been to a nice hotel that is on the beach and is not $400? Everything is so expensive.

try the doubletree surfcomber...i stayed there last year...i don't remember the price, but it was under $400, clean, nice pool, along the boardwalk...perfect :)
Also, try the park central...i also stayed there last year for a bachelorette party...right across the street from the beach, but a great location so it didn't really matter.
ETA: oops...all that was south beach
