Okay handbag question...is this a dealbreaker?
Do all your handbags have zippers? Because the one I am eyeing (see other post) only has a magnetic closure. It has an inside zip pocket, but usually those are too small for a wallet.
What are most of your bags like? Zipper, snap, etc? Are there situations where you only use a bag that has a zipper, like in crowds? The bag I want is on final sale, so I want to be sure. The only concern is that there is no zipper.
Thoughts?

i used bags w/o zippers. funny b/c most of my purses zip, except I never use the zipper. unless im in a big crowd or a tourist on vacation.

I don't mind bags without zippers as long as there is one pocket inside that zips so I can put my wallet or just cards/cash inside.

The only time I use a bag without a zipper is if there is an inner compartment that zippers that is large enough to hold my wallet.

Mine NEVER close at the top and when they do, I never close them ever. So no, not a deal breaker for me.
Not to mention, there is SO much CR@P in my bag, that even with it wide open, no one could subtly stick there hand in while in a crowd and just take my wallet. Theyd have to fish around for it, and Im sure Id notice that.

i don't have a problem with it not having a zipper, but my mom always harasses me about it and that my wallet is going to get lost stolen.
her solution is one of those ball chains. the ones that are made of small metal balls that snap into the clasp - sorry not sure if i am describing that well at all.
if your wallet has a zipper you can run the chain through the hole on the zipper and then through either a zipper inside the bag or a tag inside the bag and then close. that way your wallet can't fall out or be taken out without you noticing. it also prevents you from leaving your wallet somewhere since it is always attached. just make sure it is long enough so that you can take your wallet out comfortably.

Most of mine have zippers on them, but I have one that's a magnetic closure. It's very strong and doesn't open as easily as you would think.

Always have to have a zipper because I have a history of picking bags up sideways or upside down and having things fall out.

Most of mine have zippers.. I have two that don't and they don't have a large enough inner compartment for my wallet- so when I use it, I just hold it in front of me in a large crowd. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if it was a really cute bag!!

The one's that do have zippers I hardly ever actually use the zipper, I usually keep my bag open

i used to only bug bags w/ zippers, but i just got a Michael and it is a snap closure, and it has been working out just perfect for me. it also makes things so much easier to grab stuff out of my bag!

I need a zipper otherwise I am paranoid. I get so mad when I go in the Kate Spade store. 75% of her bags don't have a zipper drives me crazy.

It MUST close with a flap or a zipper. My bags have fallen many times and I would hate losing stuff because I did not see it on the floor/ground.

I actually prefer bags that don't zip. I never zip them anyway and I end up scratching my hand on the teeth. I usually carry my purse on my shoulder or in the crook of my arm so I feel my things are secure.
