Am I grasping at straws here?
Today was my first beta, my RE does two betas, two days apart. They don't give you the results of the first one though.
They did call and tell me to add a shot of progesterone today and tomorrow in addition to the suppositories I'm taking 4x a day.
My thought is, if the beta was negetive why would the even bother having me add more progesterone?
Am I grasping here?

i def think thats a good sign since most REs tell you to stop progesterone at a negative beta.
why would your RE do 2 and not tell you the first one??! that seems like its torturous!!! i would totally POAS!!!!

Agreed, they always tell you to stop progesterone immediately. Crossing all body parts for you, but it sounds REALLY REALLY GOOD !!!!

It is torture but I think their reasoning is to see if the numbers go up in that 2 days. I guess that way they avoid telling you yes you're pregnant and then god forbid you have an early m/c or it's a chemical, KWIM? I think it's just like an insurance policy.

I didn't POAS today, I did the last 3 days though and all BFN's.

i would totally not be OK with that. i understand that having a chemical can be sad, but i would rather know about it and be able to investigate the reasons why, instead of having them not tell me! obviously thats totally my own opinion, i just didnt realize that some RE's do that. i feel like it should be your choice, not theres..
but either way i didnt want to make this a political discussion, just offer more and for you!!

This only sounds like a good sign... when i had my BFN during my first FET my doctor told me to immediately stop all meds i was on including progesterone... my guess is he probably wants to make your progesterone level a little bit higher! praying that this is it for you!!!!!

ITA, I'm sure though that if it was a chemical they would tell me. I think they would just rather tell me from the start that I had a chemical rather than have me get all excited that I was pregnant only to be let down.

You are going to ECF right? I just wanted to add that I had the same exact thing happen a few days ago. Had my first beta and they called and said to increase progesterone. They called me yesterday after my second beta and said that I am pregnant. I think it is a great sign!!

Mrs. Devito, If i remember right, your embies were on the little cell size when they were implanted. that would put you a few days behind. I would def POAS. Your results before could be just under the limit for POAS. I think if you are upping the progesterone that its a good sign. I have my fingers crossed for you and your embies in my prayers.

Yes they were, I didn't realize that b/c they were less cells it would put me a few days behind. That would totally explain why at 5, 6 and 7dp3dt I got BFN's. I haven't tested since Sunday morning. I think I'll just hold out until tomorrow's beta though.
