Advice needed... mismatched furniture.

So we've pretty much completed our mini living room makeover. The last thing we need is something to go under our wall mounted tv.

Our new living room furniture is from Pier 1. It's a dark espresso color... pretty much looks black in most light. Here's a link to a photo... CLICK ME! The set doesn't have a credenza or tv stand that works for us, so we need to look elsewhere for something.

I was on Home Decorators website and found something I think I would really like, and it only comes in black and off white. I'm leaning towards getting the off white just to change it up a bit because I don't want all the furniture in the room to be really dark. Am I crazy for wanting to do this?? Should I just play it safe and go with the black, or go with my gut and get the white? What do you ladies think?? Here's a pic of the piece...


**The living room color scheme is different shades of blues and off whites, some brown, and the walls are painted BM-shaker beige. (light beige)

I think, in general, white painted furniture can be coordinated with any other type furniture. And as long as you like the look, that's what matters.
