Teething Tablets?
Did anyone hear or use these? I found them in pharmacy, then found glowing reviews on amazon.
If you are using them, any concern of the ingredients. DH is reprimanding me for thinking about giving DS caffeine. And then he looked at me like I was the devil when he found out they have belladonna.

Re: Teething Tablets?
I have used these when DS is teething. They really work for him. I was a bit nervous at first, but they worked and my ped. said they were fine.

Re: Teething Tablets?
we tried them with dd#2 after a bunch of people rec'd them....they didn't seem to do anything - one day she seemed to choke on one and well, we still have them in medicine cabinet unused....we stick to (now generic) tylenol!

Re: Teething Tablets?
The dosages in homeopathic tabs are so miniscule, it is impossible to overdose. The product has been around for over 60 years and not one negative side effect has been reported. How many other medications can make that claim? They are far easier on the belly, liver, and kidneys than tylenol. I shared your DHs concerns, especially about the belladona. But after some investigating, I began using them with DS. I'm not sure they work wonders...but they did seem to stop the excessive drooling one day.

Re: Teething Tablets?
I have used them with my DD and they did seem to help her. The tablets are very small and dissolved almost immediately in her mouth. I didn't use them every day, just the instances where she was in a lot of discomfort.

I didn't think they really did anything but some people swear by them.

I used these on ds once, and it seemed to help too. Pediatrician also said it was fine.

Re: Teething Tablets?
Can't tell you how much I loved them and how well they got us through the worst of teething. DS would SCREAM in pain and these would help almost instantly. I felt the homeopathic aspect was much safer than doping him up with Tylenol every time he was in pain.
Here is a link to the Hylands website with their information on the belladonna and caffeine - Linky Remember, they have been around for over 60 years and there have been no verified reports of any baby getting sick from teething tablets.
DS is 11 months old and we have gone through at least 5/6 bottles of teething tablets...and maybe 1 bottle of Tylenol (which was recalled after I began using it )

Re: Teething Tablets?
Another supporter here
I waited so long to give her these cause I had those same concerns as your husband. But OMG do they WORK!
Actually got a point where AJ would stop crying when she saw them, sit down and giggle as she took them from my palm and put them in her mouth.
I actually tried one to see what the big deal is and they're fairly tasteless and melt instantly.

Re: Teething Tablets?
I used them with my son. It was a life saver. He started teething VERY early and is still teething at almost 2. It helps when they are young and you don't want to give them too much Tylenol.
My pediatrician recommended them to us. We used to put them in his bottle.

Oh that's a great suggestion, I would be scared he'd choke on them!
