Trying to guess how pregnant I really am

I had a miscarriage that started on April 17th & last 5 days. After never getting my period, I took a pregnancy test on May 17th. It was BFN.
On May 20th I took another & it was BFP. After our total shock we tried to figure out when I actually got pregnant since I have no LMP date. I don't think I can count my Miscarriage as a LMP. In fact if I did count that then there is no way I would of had a BFN on the 17th. Hmmm just wondering. I have decided I'm 6 weeks today. If I had counted my miscarriage as a LMP I would be 7 weeks.

I agree, 6 weeks. ( or maybe 6w1d or 6w2d).
I'm guessing you were 4 weeks on May 20th when you got your BFP. (or 4 weeks on the 18th or 19th)

Have you called your Dr? When I got pg again after a m/c, they wanted to see me right away for blood work.

If they do a sono and/or bloodwork at your first doc's appt, that'll figure it out for you. I wouldn't count the m/c as the LMP.

I couldn't figure mine out at all either. I had a negative BT on 4/12 but my LMP was on 3/4!!! The OB wouldn't schedule me until they knew for sure I was 8 weeks and the blood work I did after my BFP put me between 6 & 8 weeks just from the #s, so I finally got to go to the OB this past Friday. And he gave me my due date! -- He said I was exactly 8 weeks last Friday! Just from measuring and stuff, and based on the LMP and the negative test in April.

The date *may* change when I go back in on the 22nd, but for now I'm basing my EDD on what my OB told me last week.

In a way, it was kinda crazy and exciting not knowing exactly where I was!!! I know it's tough not to have a due date right away, but just relax and you'll have one so soon.

I couldn't believe how big the baby looked and how strong the heartbeat was at my first appointment. It was the absolutely coolest thing I'd ever seen in my life.

What makes you think you had a miscarriage? Just bleeding? If I were you I would get to your dr and have ome quantitative hcg draws done maybe 2 or 3 2 days apart. This way they can tell you if your pregnancy is developing normally, if thsi is the original pregnancy or a new one?

I know I had a miscarriage. I was seen in the ER due to bleeding & bad cramps. I then followed up with my OBGYN who drew blood every other day until my Hcg was to zero. When I reached zero (happened very quick) they told me I was all done with blood work because I was no longer pregnant.

I saw my Dr. today. She said she's guessing I'm 6 weeks & a few days. She didn't do a sono & said I have to wait until the 15th for one. She also isn't drawing my Hcg & said she can date me at my sono. She said she was only concerned with my progesterone level.

congrats!!
