How old was your DC when they drank from a sippy cup on their own?
DD is almost 8 months. She is grabbing it but not actually drinking the right way out of it, LOL..I have to hold it for her to drink from it....

we only do straw cups but i'm pretty sure DD was using them by 9 months for water. her formula was still in a bottle until 1 year and then she went to all straw cups.

About 6 months or so. We started trying to get him to do it early on because he was EBF and wouldn't take a bottle. I was desperate to get away for a bit, so I was trying to get him to drink his milk from a sippy.

only straw sippy- ds1 6 months and ds2 7 months months .

Can't remember exactly with DD1, I know it was around 7.5-8 months
DD2 has been drinking from a straw sippy for the past few weeks and she just turned 7 months

thanks....maybe i will try a straw one but did ut dc hold the cups on their own?

DD is 10.5 months and still doesn't really get it. She can hold the cup but she doesn't understand where to put her mouth to get the water out. We just bought a straw sippy (previously using regular Munchkin sippy with the soft spout) and she hasn't figured how to suck from the straw yet.
