No internal at 36 weeks????
Is that normal? I was expecting on hearing if things are stirring up, but he said that her head is in position, she's low and I have plenty of fluid so there's no need to do an internal. I was sad lol

mine starts internals at 36w and does the GBS test.

every practice is different. i had one at 36 & 37 weeks and if this baby doesn't come out before thursday i will have another for my 38 week appointment.

It's so strange how things vary so much from Dr. to Dr.! He did the Strep B culture today though...guess that's normal.

Agreed that every practice is different. Plus if she is low and head down then it's better they don't "stir" things up.

Don't you go to the same OB as my cousin (mrsmcd)? He doesn't seem to be all that into doing internals. lol But I think he did one for her at 36 weeks.

I had to beg for an internal at 38.5 weeks, at my practice they don't do them till 39 weeks.

Yes I do...I didn't know she was your cousin! How cool, babies together : ) He really isn't too into them I guess lol I had one at 34 weeks only because I was feeling pain...if I knew that would've meant none at 36 I wouldn't have gone lol
