moving to an earlier bedtime - how did you know?

So I'm a btdt mom and have done this before but cannot remember how to do this and hoping to get some help. DD is almost 10 weeks old. She has a bottle aorund 7 or 715 pm and goes into bed by 8 or 830. S he's always cranky after that bottle and once she gets to sleep after fussing is in a nice deep sleep. I always wake her around 1030 or 11 to feed her and she'll sleep till around 6 or 630 am. But when do I start getting rid of that 11 pm bottle and having her last bottle at like 9? Do I do it gradually? When did you do the last bottle at 8 or 9 and that was it till morning?

I also never woke DD to eat. I pushed up her bedtime based on her level of crankiness/tiredness - she just seemed to get tired earlier so we gave her her last bottle a little earlier and went from there. I have read that you should wean off the dreamfeed slowly by reducing the amount until you get to zero but I have no experience with that.

Thanks - even with that dreamfeed she still wakes up around 4 am though so I think she would wake up even earlier looking for food. Last night I fed her when she woke in the middle of the night and she wasn't even hungry and barely ate 2 ounces. So I guess she doesn't need to eat in the middle of the night but I just can't see her sleeping that long. But I guess I just need to try it out.

she might not - depending on who you read, the ability to STTN has nothing to do with being hungry - has more to do with good bedtimes and naps.

also, my dd started eating more during the day and extra right before bed when she dropped her nighttime feedings but she did that on her own and we just followed her lead.

Oh great- her naps suck unless we are out and about and we are driving. That's the only time she'll sleep for a while - otherwise it's short cat naps.

they will get better - DD was a catnapper and hers have been getting longer. usually at the 1-hour mark, i can settle her back down for another 45 minutes to an hour. she used to take 30 minute naps if that.

what age did her naps get longer? my 21 week old usually sleeps from 7:30PM - 5:00AM, will take about a 2 hour nap after her 5AM feed, and then only 30 - 40 min naps for the rest of the day. They used to be longer.
HELP!

She's 3 1/2 months - they're only starting to get longer and so far, she's been inconsistent. I've read naps usually settle around 6 months or so.
