I got my DD her first pair of Stride Rite walking shoes as soon as she was walking on her own without any assistance. While she was just cruising or holding our hands to walk she was barefoot or if we were out just little shoes I got in BRU.

same here...dd started walking a few weeks before her 1st birthday so we got them then. until then in was the robeez or the pedipeds. the best way for them to learn how to walk is supposedly barefoot so there's no need to rush it.
