9-month old-eating

Hope you are all well....

Our daughter just turned 9 months- she is becoming a very curious eater- just wondering...what are some of the foods your children ate at 9 months?

:)

Re: 9-month old-eating

honestly, i can't really remember! BUT I will say this...if she seems curious don't hold back on letting her try some things! I feel like that was a big mistake I made. I was too afraid she would choke, etc and held back on giving DD table food. I think that's part of the reason she's a picky eater now!

Re: 9-month old-eating

THANKS! She was not interested in eating anything until she was 7 months...we are so excited how she is now...we let her try anything that we feel is safe :)

Thanks for you advice.

DS is 8 months, but so far we have done:

Pancakes
French Toat Sticks
Chicken Nuggets
These smiley potato puff things
Chicken noodle soup (took out most of the broth)
Meatballs
Mixed Veggies
Bananas
Peaches
Pears

And of course the staple...
Cheerios
Puffs

Pretty much anything that was soft enough or could be cut small enough

beans
all veggies(squash, all types of potato, broccoli etc)
meats cut tiny
polenta-this is a GREAT baby food. I buiy organic italian seasoned at my supermarket or whole foods

Re: 9-month old-eating

DS gets a little of whatever we are eating...
Yesterday he had
Steak @ California Pizza Kitchen
Pineapple
grapes(peeled and in small pieces)
asparagus
Goldfish

Today it was
a variety of cheeses (we went out to Martha Clara)
Dried Sausage
Carr's Crackers

I just give him a little of whatever I am eating in small pieces. Of course, the Cheerios and Puffs are a staple. I do avoid anything on the "No" list from the pediatrician and anything really spicy. Our ped recommended giving him foods with flavorings though. She said that at some point soon they will be eating whatever you make for dinner so start getting him adjusted now.
