Anyone have the BlackBerry Curve 8530 with the trackpad?
I have an upgrade available so I'm thinking about getting the 8530. What are the pros and cons? TIA!

i have the purple one from sprint and love it. no complaints here. i had the previous curve with the ball before DH upgraded me.

I'm echoing all the others, I'm obsessssssssssed.
And whatever server its on is about 5X faster than my old curve. It embarasses it!

i'm eligible for an upgrade in june (with the 100 credit)... I'm undecided if I'm going to go with another bberry, hold out for the iphone, or opt for the droid! CHOICES!!!

I have it and DH is jealous and he has a BOLD.
It's not 3G but I haven't noticed any difference from my 8800.

We were discussing the same options last night. I want an iPhone (I think), and am willing to switch to Verizon for it, but I think it will be a while before they have it and we see if their network can handle it. Plus the wait list to get one will probably be outrageous. So I figure if we renew our contract with Sprint again, it will end probably right around the time we'd be able to get the iPhone. Plus we're pretty happy with Sprint, so I don't feel the need necessarily to change. I refuse to get the Droid because my boss has it and tells me how much better it is than my BB even though he's never had a smart phone before. Annoys me to no end, so I refuse to get one just for that reason.
Sprint has a BOGO special on the 8530 right now. I'm not sure if it will still apply if we're upgrading, but I'm going to call them and find out. I'm thinking it's probably worth it.

I read that the 8530 doesn't have a flash for the camera. Has anyone found that to be a problem?
