Good place to buy Carpets?
Does anyone know a good place to get carpets that arent' TOO expensive??

I went to a great place this weekend in Bayshore called Pat's Carpet the prices were great and so was the service. It is across from the new Chili's in Bay Shore, I am not sure of the street but I think it is saxton.

Country Carpet in Syosset - I haven't used them yet but i went to look and they were very nice. We will use them when we are ready to get carpet.

we are probably going to order our new carpeting from All Carpets in Seaford. We were there recently and the salesman (owner, I think) was extremely helpful and gave us TONs of info.

We went with Empress on Glen Cove Rd in Carle Place. Their prices were about the same as G. Fried, and we liked the guy that helped us a lot better. He didn't pressure us or anything. The lady from Empire wouldn't give us the time of day. We told her we were looking for 3 bedrooms (they are on the small side) and basement carpeting all to come in under 3k. They are coming Saturday to install, so I will let you know how it goes!

There are Carpet Depots in Nassau. There is one in Levittown and then one on Sunrise Hwy in Wantagh.

We actually used the Carpet Depot in Levittown for our Co-Op, and had HUGE issues with them. I warn everyone to stay away from them. They messed up our carpet, and when we went to complain, the manager (if he really even was that) took a HUGE attitute with us and actually yelled at us and was the snottiest-un-friendly, least customer service oriented person we ever met!
I don't know about their other locations... but I warn people away from this one!
Thats why i'm trying to get recommendations of places people used this time beforehand!

i have been looking for carpet companies-
home depot advertises like 4$ square foot installed....
All about floors
332 broadway bethpage 933-2588
high traffic berber 12.99 sq yard installed
100% stain master 17.99 sq yard installed.
a square yard is like 9 square feet right? price sounds good....
