Ordering online for bathroom renovations
We are redoing our master bath. My DH has found a lot of the things we like online, but I'm skeptical. The prices are much lower and we haven't been able to find much that we like in the stores.
Has anyone ordered their vanity or tub online? Did you see it in person first? Where? How did you find out about them? How was the quality? How was the experience?
Thanks in advance guys

Re: Ordering online for bathroom renovations
One thing I noticed in searching on line is that the plumbing fixtures could be hard to compare. They may show a faucet and handles for a sink, but the price is only for the faucet itself. The handles were priced separately, and the plunger and other hoses were also separate so you really had to know what you were ordering. Make sure you understand everything you need to hook up the system completely, and that everything is calculated in your comparison pricing. Don't forget delivery cost too. We ordered our stuff from a local plumbing supply house and cabinet shop and the delivery was included in the cost. I would imagine there are some hefty delivery costs for a tub or vanity

Re: Ordering online for bathroom renovations
I ordered almost everything for my two bathrooms online - two vanities, one tub, two toilets, six faucets, lighting. All we ordered locally was tile, shower base, basic tub and one light. Some I saw in person and some I just ordered from photos. In person I saw some at Consumers Kitchens and Baths, Home Depot Expo (not around anymore), Blackman and one other place that I cannot remember the name of. I had a great experience with all of them and the quality was what I expected. I saved a ton of money too. Mainly I just searched online and found a lot on ebay (lots of plumbing stores have stores on ebay) and a few other online websites. Good luck with your shopping!

Re: Ordering online for bathroom renovations
My BIL ordered his vanity from Costco. It came damaged but Costco has a great return policy and they shipped a new one asap.
We have ordered numerous items from faucets direct and I am completely happy with the quality and timeliness.
ETA: I ordered name brand products from faucetsdirect so I was comfortable with what type of product I was going to get.
BIL obviously didnt see his product before but has purchased furniture from Costco before so was comfortable with his purchase and his vanity is beautiful!

Re: Ordering online for bathroom renovations
We ordered all our fixtures for both of our bathrooms online and some other things too. I would just make sure the company you are buying for looks legit and make sure you read every description because as one person posted it may not include all the parts you need.
That being said we got all our kohler fixtures and accessories online and they were significantly cheaper then any store we saw them in.

Besides ebay, which websites did you use (if you can remember)? were the products name brand?
I'm going to check out ebay now.
