how long does it take to get in contract??
just curious because we met with our lawyer over a week ago to sign our contract for a house we are buying, he sent it back to the homeowner's lawyer and they STILL have not signed it and i am now getting concerned... does the process usually take this long? just curious because even our realtor is getting anxious and said that usually it only takes a few days..

It took us about a week once we signed. Maybe the homeowners are on vacation?

For both the sale of our condo and the purchase of our home, about 10 days - two weeks. Do you think the sellers are holding out for a better offer?

Re: how long does it take to get in contract??
it took our sellers months to sign them back. they waited because they didn't want to be in contract without a CO in place. but this is not the norm

i hope not!!! they threw an open house after they accepted our offer initially to see if they would get a higher bid but they didn't. then they proceeded with having their lawyer drawing up the contract.. its just a frustrating wait process but i'm glad to see that others have had long waits and its not just me!

Definitely not just you! It took us over 2 weeks to be in full contract. I freaked out at the time but it turns out they were out of town. Hopefully this is the case! Good luck!
