Okay what's the name of this?
They have them at spas, to hold water with lemon or other fruit. The water comes out from a spigot at the bottom. I'm trying to do a search and don't know what to call it.

I just goggled "glass canister with a spigot" and came up with a bunch. They are called infusion jars or spigot jars. I think that's what you're looking for...

This?
Chasing Fireflies calls it a "Vintage Lemonade Jar".
Bed Bath calls it a Beverage Jar.

Oooh, yes! LOVE that one from BB and B! I had a massage at Aveda yesterday and they had strawberry water. It was sooo good. I was thinking this is a nice thing to do in the summer.

O.M.G. That is a really great idea! I've been searching for this hot pepper vodka that DH and I used to love and it is no longer made.
How long do you think whatever is in the vodka has to sit, for it to get infused?

I was going to get one for that reason - pineapple vodka martinis!
I used to go to a bar that had those big beverage jars filled with slices of pineapple and then with vodka. Mmmm!

I think for at least 2/3 days. DH makes cucumber vodka and he lets in sit for 3/4 days in the fridge. HTH!!!

The longer it sits, the more flavor it will have. If you are using a fruit or something, change out the fruit after 3 days or so. It will start to go bad and it absorbs all the impurities in the alcohol. Keep in a dark, cool place like basement or closet. I have let it sit for a week or longer and it is DELISH. Do not eat the fruit out of it because it tastes terrible, like I said, it absorbs the impurities of the liquor.

I'm planning on doing a cayenne pepper or two in vodka. Those can probably stay the 2 weeks (read online that peppers need 2 weeks to infuse)
