Re: Standing in the bath...

...wish I could....

Lily's favorite trick is to stand, and then when you ask her to sit down, she jumps up and lands in a sitting position. Chat Icon She's been doing that for about a year and still thinks it's hysterical !!
She hasn't ever gotten hurt from it....but I have a few extra gray hairs....

Re: Standing in the bath...

Nope sorry my DD#1 (2.5) has been doing it since she got into the tub she never wanted to sit - now she sits maybe 30% of the time the rest she plays with her toys on the side of the tub. DD#2 (8.5) months is following in her foot steps she is pulling up and throws a fit sometimes when you try to make her sit in the tub (basically she arches and gets stiff as a board). I choose my battles with this one - I'm right there and can catch DD#2 if she falls and with DD#1 bath or showers are a battle some days so I would rather she bathe than sit...Chat Icon

I told them if they did it, it was time to get out.

There is something worse than standing in the bath & that's jumping & falling on their tush.Chat Icon

Re: Standing in the bath...

So far they really don't try this. They are too involved with splashing and stealing toys from each other.

Once DS got into standing mode, we got him a bath mat with little fishies on it. He loves standing on it during bath time! It's also non-skid and easy to clean.

Target has different ones and disney themes as well.

I use a bath seat/bath ring. It helps.

Re: Standing in the bath...

DD does this and it drives me batty! I get sooo scared that she is going to slip! she is 10 months old and has been doing it for a few months now! As soon as I sit her down she is right back up again. I hope she gets over it soon.
