Need a change
Hey ladies, I am hoping you can give me some advice.
I really need to color my hair, and I am not sure what to do.
I currently have medium/dark brown hair. Normally when I get it colored, I get it VERY dark brown, a shade lighter than black. I have very fair skin with blue/grey eyes, and this really makes my eyes pop. Normally I love it - but this time, I think I want to go red!
What do you think? Can I pull off a deep red? (Roots/upkeep isn't an issue for me, I have babysitters up the wazoo  )

Well I love red. So I say go for it.
It will grow out or you can change it back if you don't like it.

I always liked red and wanted to go ALL RED.
I started it out with highlights. SO i eased into it and honestly.....it was too hard for me to maintain..so I chickened out too.
I love your color now and personally love your hair straight.
Highlights could be an option.

You have great hair and it looks great straight! Anyway, I would TOTALLY go for like a deep auburn color, or even some reddish/caramelish highlights. They would look great on you!

Thank you everyone! I prefer it straight too, but DH prefers curly, so I wear it that way all the time now to keep him happy 
I am going to make an appointment now, I have an awesome colorist that I use, and I know that by going red I can always go back to "black" if I hate it

I think red would look good but just so you know Red sticks around even after you color it back to dark brown. My hair has been every shade except for blonde and the red always comes through no matter how dark I color it. It is not obvious but in the sunlight you can see the red.

That's okay with me - I have natural red highlights in the sun too, so I'm used to it

LB when i went on the rachel ray show for the mom and me makeover they made me red!! i have similar complexion and light eyes too and the red was amazing!!!!!!!! the reason i went back to dark brown (my natural color) was the upkeep.. way to much time and money for me. but if its not an issue for you then totallllllly go for it!!!!!!!!!!! i think it will look incredible!!

YOu totally read my mind..I was totally thinking of going a deep auburn the past few days, we have similar coloring, so yes I totallky think you could pull it off!!!!

Do highlights instead of one color. It will give your hair dimension.
