Granite countertops anyone??
I would love to have granite installed but have been to afraid to see what the cost would be. I have a galley style kitchen and its not very large at all.
Can anyone recommend a place and give me an idea of how much it would be.

stone edge in smithtown we had 37 square feet of granite Giallo Vincenza installed for $2500 with an OGee edge. From template to install was three days

We used Kitchen source on 109. i don't remember how many square feet our kitchen is but it's not super huge. It cost us $1600 and was about 1 week from template to installation.

It's been around five years since we had ours done, our kitchen is also galley style and not very big. We were able to find a remnant we liked and it was around $1100. Prices may have gone up since then, not sure.
We used Italia Stone in Island Park.

Depending on the grade it can be $50-$100 a square foot. More if you want something rare.

Just don't use Fiorano in Elmont. We used them and they measured my counter wrong and when they came to install the granite it was too big. So they decided to cut a hole in my wall and shove the granite into it. Ruined my wall, and then told me that's how they do it.
I of course called called the manager and he took off $ for the cost to fix my wall.
Totally unprofessional, and I feel that they only did that because I was a girl and they figured I wouldn't know better. They hid it to until the last min. then pretended I didn't know what I was talking about.

I have a galley and I have no idea what we paid b/c we had our entire kitchen & apartment worked on by a contractory BUT it makes the kitchen look so clean. Go for it!

We shopped around for our granite and the lowest price we found was at Fortune Granite in Franklin Square (on Hempstead Tpke). Once we picked it out, they installed 3 days later!! We got 70 square feet for a little over $3k.
