For those that use cleaning services...

...what do you do while the cleaning person is there?

Do you help clean? Relax? Leave the house?

Right now I have a cleaning person here and she's working in the kitchen and I'm sitting on the couch w/ my feet up and feel like such a schlub. I have to move my car for alternate side parking around 11:30 and fold some laundry, but this scenario made me curious--

what do you do while someone else is cleaning your house?

I'm usually entertaining the kids in some fashion and/or folding laundry, putting away toys, trying to straighten up downstairs while they start cleaning upstairs.

Sometimes I'll run out for some quick errands, especially once they move downstairs - I try to stay out of their way so I'm always on the floor they're not on.

i'm usually at work and my nanny usually takes DS out while she's there.

i had a woman who came on saturdays for a while though and when she came, we'd go out to run errands and if she was there when i got home, i'd always end up doing chores in other parts of the house.
