Has anyone had a problem with Chase online bill pay?
I noticed a late fee charge on one of my credit card statements. The payment was due on the 18th. I set up Chase to send the payment on the 8th and according to Chase bill pay it was supposed to be delivered by the 15th. When I called the credit card company to ask about the late fee they said they didnt receive the payment from Chase until the 21st  They were nice enough to waive it because I've never been late but I am nervous it is going to happen again with other bills.
I think setting up the payment 10 days in advance is a good enough time frame. W T H would take 2 weeks to send a payment?

i refuse to use it after a mishap with my rent payment. i set it up to send the 27th of the month and it was not received until the 10th of the following month. I had to prove that my account was showing the 27th to avoid $150 late fee! 
I just went and ordered paper checks for the first time in 3 years.

Can you see if that bill can be paid electronically? i found that if they need to send a check, I have run in to problems. so now, I either pay the bill electronically through Chase or go directly to the companys website and pay it there, having them take the money from my checking accout or debit card

Chase DOES NOT waive fees. So the reason they did it is because THEY screwed up! They won't tell you that.
I always print my payment confirmations showing the confirmation number and date it was done.
Most online payment take 24-48 hours to be posted on your account.

I agree. Most of my major bills (def my CCs) are paid through wire not check so it's not a problem.

I usually just set up an electronic payment with all my CCs and bills on their own website. If you set it up with the CC site directly, no need to worry about Chase sending it on time.

Never had a problem with Chase. 99% of what i send is electronic and posted the next day.
In all honesty, i would set up an account of the CC you are trying to pay direct on there site. I pay all cards direct on the site and link my account to them.
I need to go to each CC site anyway to get my paperless statement so why not go in and pay them.
I understand its cool to pay everything from one site but if its not electronic, i might as well send the check myself.

i do the same - all except my rent check bc they're from the dark ages and don't have online payment options. Its annoying, but what can you do...

This was my experience with Chase as well. They don't waive fees even when they should.
