9 months overdue.... My labor of love (Birth Montage)
Many of you know I was attempting a homebirth. To make a long story short after 3 days of labor and not dilating I transferred to the hospital
It took me MONTHS to deal with my "loss"..... homebirth loss that is... but I can finally think back at the day and in the beauty of those hours at home...
I never wrote a birthstory... it was too painful. Instead here is a picture montage of those 3 AMAZING DAYS!!!!
(WARNING: Some partial nudity)
THis was a form a therapy for em to finally put this together

I'm crying. That was absolutely beautiful. I love that you provided skin to skin for your DD with DH....love the pic of his Dad (presumably) kissing him and the one of you and DH kissing with DD in the middle. There were so many amazing moments captured. What a true testament to the intensity and power of labor, delivery and the making of a new family. I'm sorry that your homebirth didn't work out. I can't imagine the disappointment you must have felt. It looks like you brought so many elements of your vision to the hospital with you though and I hope you take comfort and pride in that. I'm truly touced by your montage. Thank you so much for sharing.

Maria, those pictures are beautiful. I can see your strength and the pain through the pictures. I know that with my difficult labor with Amelia, I would have never made it as long as you, and she was my 5th! Your strength through that amazes me.
I'm glad you've healed enough to put that montage together. It was beautiful.

Aww that was amazing...how nice that she will have this to look back on.
I wish I could have done that, however mine would have resembled a remake of the Exorcist   Linda Blair ain't got nothing on me

How wonderfully beautiful!!
I have such a different story to tell, since my labor was less than 3 hours from the first contraction until DS was born, so there is not one photo of me in labor (but I could take 3 days to tell it!) . Your "story" is so precious! What a great keepsake you've made for your family and daughter!

Really just so beautiful! I love how you captured it all. I think your very brave to attempt a home birth. thank you for sharing that. Now I am kicking myself for not having more pictures take during my labor!

thanks... Skin to skin was very important to me. I tore pretty bad so while they were stitching me DH held her on his chest. We did skin to skin A LOT the first 2 months.
Yes, that was FIL kissing DH... such a sweet moment!

So beautiful Maria. I'm so glad you were able to put that together. You don't need a birth story...that tells it all.
I so wish I was comfortable enough with my body to have photographs of my labors and belly shots.

That was so beautiful. I loved how you switched form black and white to color once she was born. What a story that told and what a beautiful memory for your DD when she is older
