what do you expect the laptop to do?
with all the sales going on, its hard not to find a sub 500 laptop. These machines should handle all basics things like surfing the web, editing pictures, music and movie downloads.
If you are really on a budget and need less, go with a netbook.
techbargins.com would be a good place to start.

Keep in mine anetbook is a stripped down laptop meant for lighetr tasks it won't do everything a laptop can
