This can be looks wise or just happy with yourself.

What do you do that makes you have a moment where you realize you like who you are

Everytime I look at my daughters

A little mascara and lip gloss

and a really kick azz spin class

I feel good when I am well rested. I have such poor sleeping habits that when I actually get a good night of sleep I feel great about everything.

This makes me a little right now but when I am working I love myself. I am happy, upbeat and feel so alive. I know a lot of people can't say that so it makes me happier.

My job makes me feel really good about myself. I work with kids and they make me feel really appreciated everyday (well almost everyday ). I always feel lucky to have this.

Also, being freshly waxed, mani & pedi, hair done, makeup, looking good to go out

When I give effort, time or money to a deserving charity.

When my husband or great friends tell me how much I mean to them.

When people compliment the work I've put into my garden, my photography, my home, training my dog, or my job.

When there is a problem at work and I'm the only one that can solve it; especially when the person actually appreciates it.

When we have meetings at work and I can cut through the red tape and communication challenges to make significant progress.

When I get great results due to the hard work and organization I put in, whatever it is.

When we entertain my parents at our home, we try our best to make it special and they are wonderful guests.

When I get noticed/stared at by a strange guy and my husband catches it. It makes me feel good that he recognizes he has a good looking wife.

Tan...definitely makes me feel better/sexier

Manicure/pedicure...same reaction

When my daughter tells me I'm the best Mommy or that she loves me/misses me so much.

When I get one of those "I need you right now" looks of passion from my husband (makes me melt to the floor)

Any general compliment always helps

after a good haircut and highlights
mani/pedi
getting dressed up to go out someplace nice... wedding, show, nice dinner, drinks, etc
a nice, long shower

It's a great feeling when I bowl well in a league or tournament session.

After several late-night rehearsals, performing in a LI Cabaret show and hearing the cheers of the audience.
Same thing when we do hospital caroling at Christmas time and "God Bless America" at LI Ducks games.

On karaoke nights, some say to me, "Great job" or "Great singing" after doing one and walking back to my table.
Sometimes they pass my table and tell me.

At home or at work, solving problems, electrical or otherwise.

When DH and I have a really good, meaningful talk.

When I spend some serious, fun, quality time with DS.

When I have a good hair and skin day

When I get complimented on my performance at work.

Being a mother.
When my 6 year old wakes up in the morning and heads straight to me - still rubbing sleep from his eyes and his hair askew. He doesn't say a word, just crawls into my lap and wraps his arms around my neck and nuzzles into the crook of my neck.

When my big boy 8 year old leans into me - half his body molded to my side while I check his homework or read a note from school just because he likes to be that close to me.

When the boys tell me that I am the most beautiful person ever and that I cook the best and that I am the best mom in all the world. I know their views are just a LITTLE skewed.....but it's still a great feeling to know that you are the greatest of everything to someone - and in my case to TWO someones.

Also - waking up in the morning to a spotless kitchen or going to bed to a tidy bedroom with a made up bed. Making and plating a meal that I took my time to make and knowing it tastes good. Finishing a poem and having it resonate with me. Having long conversations about topics that I am actually well versed in also invigorates me. And being with my oldest friends - people who get who I am and what motivates me. People who don't assign their own ideals and desires to my life - because they just seem to like me for who I am and don't spend time focusing on how I could be better, should be better and how I am not the same as they are.

When my hair flows the right way, and not doing the Mary Tyler Moore flip.

When DH tells me I look "Hot" in my sweats.

I have to say looking at my sons. Even though I have a pouch belly from them I am still in utter shock I was able to make them (with some help from DH lol)

Getting a mani, pedi, facial always helps too

When I make my niece laugh...like a really good, hearty laugh!

When I take a pretty decent picture.

When I have a good hair/makeup day.

The big one for me this past year was deciding to move out on my own when my STBX husband left me. I didn't think I could do it...or make it with out him. Here I am six months later and I'm doing ok.

Every single morning when I am getting ready either for work or to go our & run errands on the weekend my DH can't keep his hands off me & tells me how beautiful he thinks I am.

Leaving the gym, knowing I worked out & did something healthy.

At work when I help people save money or get them out of a disaster with the IRS.

When my coworkers tell me how much I helped them or my boss tells me what a great job I did on something.

Every day when I go take care of the feral cat colony I manage knowing how much they trust me and how much I helped them & volunteering at save-a-pet.

-After I finish up at the gym. Especially on those days when it feels like the car is on auto-pilot and it just wants to take me home. I hate walking into the gym but love walking out.

-Making people laugh.

-Wearing knee boots.

Being with my kiddies and hearing "They are doing GREAT" from their E.I teams and teachers.

Love when DH is off and we all spend the day together.
