wayyy too much TMI- mucus plug

I think I lost it this morning while wiping. What consistency does a mucus plug have? Is it hard, rubbery, mucus like.... ?? I read on here people lost "bits" of it at a time... I lost a big glob at once..

My childbirth coach said its more like the snot that comes out of your nose, almost as if someone sneezed in your underwear This is so dammn embarrassing... That's exactly what I had... very thick, not clear- kinda cloudy maybe? no bloody show. I don't want to explain how thick it really was and how I know since it's so early in the morning..

Please help!

When I lost mine with DS I lost it over a 24 hour period. It was unmistakable to me b/c nothing like that had ever come out of my body It did look a little like snot - it was thick and stringy and a yellowish-brown (more brown than yellow) - it kept coming out in little clumps and then right before my water broke a huge clump came out that was tainted with blood.

But, from what I've read on here it seems everyone's is slightly different!

Oh yes you are definitely losing it!! Initially, I thought I lost mine in one big glob, BUT there was more to come! I lost the first of it 12 days ago and for the following 3 days I kept losing more. It mostly came out when I was going number 2 I guess from pushing. On the 4th day, I lost a HUGE glob (I believe this was the actual plug) and 24 hours later I was in labor. EASY labor vibes to you!!!

I forgot to add that the initial stuff had a snotty consistency and then it became more globby and thicker. It was clear with brown streaks. The actual plug was one big (golf ball) clear glob with a red blood streak running through it.
