Ughhh my 5 month old is sooo cranky!!

My usual happy go lucky, always smiling; 5 month old is so cranky the last 2days. He is spitting up alot and his "voice" is different... he sounds very "hoarse" but isn't coughing or congested....

I swear I was walking out the door to PM pediatrics 20min ago because he just wouldn't stop crying and that is NOT HIM.

Any ideas what this could be?

Teething? Beginning of a cold? Sometimes the phlegm runs down their back of the throat causing them to sound a little hoarse. And the phlegm going to his tummy could upset it a little bit causing spit up?

My 4yr old has a cough/cold...but the ped said he has no infection...

I forgot how hard it is having an infant who cant tell you what hurts....

I dont want to jump the gun and bring him into a dr's office filled with flu patients and kids with other illness', but I dont want to ignore other possible symptoms either...

I hear ya my almost 5 month old is doing the samething all day yesterday she was making that noise but laughing after it like she made a new sound and she is proud of it!! DH thought something was wrong. She really isn't crying though.

I think it may be teething. Liam is very drooly and cranky lately too!
