Gift for someone moving to London?
One of DH's coworkers is moving to London in early December, and we'd like to get her something.
I'm kind of stumped, since we don't want to get her anything she has ship, and we'd feel weird about giving her cash.
ETA- She's in her late 20's, loves to bake.
Any ideas?

When is she moving? Maybe you can get her something for here she can use till she moves like a gift certificate to a restaurant in NYC or tix to a show? Maybe a NYC reminder care package filled with fun NY stuff...

Re: Gift for someone moving to London?
Buy her a voucher for an online shop like Selfridges, M&S, Debenhams. Something she can use to buy stuff to furnish her new home in London.
If she loves to bake, get her a voucher for Lakeland. I love that shop!

I like the idea of a local restaurant guide or tour guide type of book.

Re: Gift for someone moving to London?
I'd give her a care package of things she can only get in NY/US. A friend of ours moved back to London and we gave her:
Lucky Charms
Reeces PB cups
Mallomars
Bagels (bought the day she left and put in one of those air tight bags)
Zip lock bags (she swore the ones over there aren't has good)
We also gave her a Whistles gift card so she could have some retail therapy once she settled in.

LOL those are the "American Products" they sell at Selfridges, a box of Lucky Charms costs about $7. Once a year Waitrose (the posh supermarket) gets Libby's canned pumpkin (which was this week) yesterday I went in and bought 6 tins!! That should hold me over for a year!

These are great ideas! I'm leaning towards the GC to Lakeland, I know she's worried about her baking stuff making the trip. Thanks everyone.

So what your saying is she scammed us so she wouldn't have to spend 7 bucks on Lucky Charms?!
