Kitty litter smells.
My kitty litter has that horrible, ammonia/bleachy smell to it when you get close to it. I clean the litter daily and change it 1x per week. I have tried Special Kitty, Fresh Step, Tidy Cats, Cat's Pride, Arm and Hammer...
Can I do something to help combat this?

Arm and Hammer sells a Liter Deodorizer.
You buy it in the cat liter aisle.
It's a rectangular box.
You just sprinkle it on top of the liter after you change it and every time you scoop.
It works great!

I SWEAR by the crystals. Its a bit more $$ but it worth not having to smell anything.
We change it every Sat am...bleach out the litter box as well.

i second this!!
also, try using a plug it in air freshner in the litter box room... that helps too!

I also use the crystals, it is a great product and completely worth the extra money. I also have three cats so
I need something that really helps with the smell.
In addition to doing a daily clean, I also do a complete change and cleaning with bleach and water every weekend.

this has helped so much!!! i even sprinkle it on the bottom, ten put kitty litter in then sprinkle on top. it may be overkill but it is helping lol

Try Scoop Away. I had 4 cats using it and it was the ONLY litter that kept the smell away!
