Chewing Ice like crazy!
So I have realized that lately I have been chewing ice like a crazy person. Every drink I get at home, I fill with crushed ice first and start chomping away.
Then it dawned on me that I think I chewed a lot of ice when I was pregnant with DS also.
Is anyone else chewing ice a lot more late in your pregnancy than you ever did before? It's so strange! I'm 32 weeks this week and I've noticed it for the past few weeks.

I have been like that for more then half of my pregnancy. I mentioned it it to my doctor and I was tested for low iron. Sure enough, my levels were low. I am now addicted to crushed ice and my levels are good. And it is a good way to keep me hydrated. I can eat it all day long.....

Totally! I've never been much of an ice person, but lately I can't get enough. I always remember my Mom telling me she loved chomping on ice when she was pregnant with my Brother.

I chewed ice so much during my pregnancy especially in 3rd tri!!! I never did it before I got pregnant and once I had DD I wanted nothing to do with ice again.

This was me with DD.
We had to make ice with the old fashion trays because the copper tubing had broke. So I use to fill the trays and would only let them freeze half way through so I would get chips. I would freeze water bottles until it was kinda slushy. I use to drive DH crazy with the crunching.
Then I went into labor and the first thing I asked for when I got to the hospital was ice chips . Then I had her and I couldn't stomach another ice chip even that day. It was so weird.

Yes!!!!! I eat a good 4to5 glasses of crushed ice.
My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I truly am enjoying it!!!!
