How often do you

have your septic tank cleaned out?

We did ours about three years ago and I am not sure if it should be done again soon.

We have 5 adults and one child in our house.

i trhink every five years or so. I was told my the cesspool guy to do Rid X 2 times per month and only use scott tissue one ply....

Our old tank was untouched by us in the 14 years we were there. With our new system, the cesspool guys said we should never have to touch it.
I've heard from numerous sources that the Rid-X often kills the helpful bacteria (overstimulates them or something), and actually can cause more damage than it's trying to prevent.
