Re-fi Appraisal - what's done?
We have someone coming today to do an appraisal for a refi - we just found this out a little bit ago and I just was wondering what's normally done (and how much straightening up I have to do  )

We didn't do anything for our re-fi appraisal. In fact, we werent even home. She came and just walked around the property and neighborhood, didn't need access into the house. She measure the house from the outside for sq footage. We got a nice little sketch of our property with the appraisal.

depends on what type of appraisal was ordered. Generally, a full appraisal requires an interior inspection. S/he'll look around, take some pictures (ex: living room, kitchen, bath) & some measurements and be on their way. I tend to avoid taking pictures in bedrooms.

Thanks - he just left. It was the same person who did the appraisal when we bought the house (we weren't here though). He noticed the improvements right away.
He did interior and exterior. DH was running around cleaning before he came just in case.
