Re: what do you use to clean

I just read online that if you have black "stuff" on the grill that you cant get off (which is a major problem for me!) to put them in a bag with ammonia-seal the bag, keep it outside overnight-so you don't have the fumes in the house-and then in the morning the black stuff will come off with out much hassle. Also, another recommendation was to use barkeepers friend (i think that's the name of it) on the stovetop. I am going to try this method this weekend, b/c I feel like I can never get my oven clean enough!

I use the comet powder with bleach on the stove top. It doesn't scratch and it santizies as well as gets the chunks off.

The grill is another story - don't use oven cleaner, tried that and it did nothing!

I will use Lysol All in One spray. I will also wash them in the dishwasher also.

That seems to make them come out the cleanest.
