Need more Homeowners advice

Here are the 2 choices:

Interboro:
-$1,214/yr
-no mold coverage yet- but will be an option to add on by year end
-No railings required
-Car insurance remains the same

State Farm:
-$1,221/yr
-includes 20,000 mold coverage limitation
-must put up railings ASAP (they will accept a commitment letter for now)
-Must also change car insurance over to them

Re: Need more Homeowners advice

I've never used Interboro but I have my insurance with State Farm. I have only had a jewelry claim up to this point but they were efficient and timely with the check.

Re: Need more Homeowners advice

do the amounts change significantly with the car insurance? i.e., is the overall savings with one of them larger than with the other?

Re: Need more Homeowners advice

Car Insurance would actually go up by $124/yr from what we currently pay.

I got another quote that would save us $600/yr on car insurance. But then we would have to go with the homeowners insurance that doesn't include mold coverage.

(The company is working on it and we should be able to purchase it soon for a small annual fee of appx. $40)

Re: Need more Homeowners advice

i work in no fault and state farm stinks for the medical coverage if you get into an accident, they question everything and never pay so our office no longer accepts state farm......

i do have state farm for my jewelry policy and home owners but not for my car insurance

just my opinion for what its worth
