So what's your opinion on "distressed" jeans?
The kind that's bought already worn in and frayed in some areas??? Not holes per say, here's an example:
I have a story behind all this, I just wanted to get some opinions.... For the record, I actually have a pair I got at Old Navy that were on clearance and then I used my 20% off stuff and save and I got them for less than $5... So I wore them out last night and I got a earful from my DH, so once I get your thoughts, I'll let you know where the conversation went!
ETA: the pair I have does not have the big "rip" at the knee, just a few smaller ones up a little higher and near the pockets, plus one on the back pocket.

I like them, and bought a pair for my DH and he asked me why I was buying him jeans that were torn...I like the look, and to be honest I don't know how to tear then neatly..so if I even tried to do this on my old jeans I think they would look awful....

Love the look.. I totally miss those days when I used to rock them with flannel button downs & Doc Martens.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I've never really been a fan. I think I had one or two pairs in high school because they were "in," but I don't think I'd buy them now.

Love them!
I loved it the first time and I was very excited when it came back again! And if it comes back again when I'm in my 50s I may just try and wear them for a third time.

I think they are just okay. I prefer to buy non distressed but will continue to wear them even after they become distressed if they are a good pair. I just don't like buying them already done because I just tend to like how it looks when it happens naturally.
ETA: If I bought some and only paid $5, I'd wear them and love them.
