has anyone had REAL showers during their outdoor shower?
especially if you had no rain date...
what was the outcome? what did you do?
we are going to try to pack all the people and chairs in our house...I was just trying to see if anyone had a similar experience.
were there many cancellations? did you cut back on food?
does the tent provide enough protection to keep it outside if the rain is light?
TIA
and if you can spare a half of one, please pray that at the very least, the rain holds off between 1:30 and 4:30 on Saturday.

I went to a bridal shower in June on a day that it was lightly raining.
Since the wind wasn't blowing that badly, the tent did provide enough protection to still hold the shower outside.

I have been to plenty of outdoor parties when it's raining. You will be fine in the tent, don't worry. The grass may be a little soggy but everything will work out.
I would not plan on many, if any, cancellations...people will come rain or shine! Have fun and I'll be doing a no rain dance for you guys!

thanks ladies.
apparently, it's a hurricaine coming our way  couldn't be more fitting in the grand scheme of my life 
I think a few other girls are having showers this weekend (pretty such conigs is) I hope your showers are indoors and/or not affected.

YES! We planned my sisters Lua shower to have at my parents house, and it POORED that day (JULY)...we sucked it up and moved everything inside...we made the best of it...luckily my parents have a large house with a huge sunroom where we set everything up...My mom is going to have mine at a place with a roof she says! GOOD LUCK!

We got some rain for my bridal shower..which was at my mothers house. We just moved everyone inside and it worked out fine.
I don't think you'll get cancellations because of it though...so far they haven't predicted it to be too bad.
Everything will be fine !

It was pouring cats and dogs at my college graduation ten years ago. Some of the discipline graduation ceremonies were under tents. Those people got soaked. It also rained for my brother's graduation but much less and the tents were perfect. No one got wet. I think it just depends upon the intensity of the wind and rain. Prayers for good weather.

Don't worry there is nothing you can do about the rain. I just check accu weather on 1010 wins and they have it dry in the afternoon. If you have to move it inside though people won't mind. You will still have a great shower.
I'm hoping for sunshine or long dry periods myself on Saturday we are having ds 1st bday party in the backyard.
