When can DS have strawberry, cherries and blueberrys
i make DS own food and went down baby food aisle for some combo suggestions and i notice that in some of the stage 2 foods these were an option. I had thought someone told me he had to wait a year. Also what about yogurt when can that start? DS is 6 months and 2 weeks old

i started yogurt at 7 months.....
as for blueberries and strawberries, ds loves both and i started them at 10 months.... he was already having them in the yoogurt and baby food at that point.... he also went straight to whole eggs because the breakfast meals he was having from beechnut had egg yolks so the ped said he would have had a reaction already....
try bananas for a fingure food first... they are extra smushy and less messy for the clothes...

I held off for strawberries, only because I was allergic as a kid. I think he was having blueberries around 6-7 months on their own, definitely all of the combinations around the same time too. And yogurt was a daily thing starting around 6 months- he just loved it.

Just be careful with the strawberries. DS is allergic and our allergist said its very common because they have a histamine in them.

I started giving them yogurt at 6 months. They have it every day for lunch and LOVE it!
If you look at wholesomebabyfoods.com, they say that blueberries aren't really a berry, so they are ok. I've been giving them blueberry yogurt and they have been fine. I'm holding off on the strawberries until I ask the ped at their 8 month appointment. I think that strawberries are ok in baby foods because they are processed, so its different than giving fresh strawberries.
