define neutral walls

we are going to be renting a condo soon. We were told that we could paint but need to keep the walls neutral....the exact quote was "Nothing lilac or red please!!!". The condo is pretty much freshly painted anyway but I was thinking that maybe I'd like to paint the smaller bedroom that is going to be Chat Icon nursery. Here's the picture of the bedding we are going with. Would you consider the green color neutral? Or if I decide to paint am I stuck with tan? Or is neutral only white, offwhite or beige?

Re: define neutral walls

Love that color- trying to find that myself- but I would definitely not consider a color like that neutral - sorry!

IMO neutral walls are ivory or light tan.

why can't you paint the color you prefer now and then repaint in a neutral color prior to moving?

I LOVE this bedding. I want to try and use it for my son's toddler bed but I *think* the quilt might be a little too small for the toddler bed

Tan, beige, off-white, white. Those are neutrals. Any colors are not.

But if you really want, ask your landlord.

Re: define neutral walls

i would think that their problem is that they want to be able to paint over it in ONE coat of paint... i don't see that being an issue with that color paint... but i'd go to my landlord and show them a swatch of it...
