Cleaning Down Pillows?

The throw pillows on my couch are down and they are really starting to stink! It's almost a smoky smell. How do I clean them? Is there any hope?

OMG NEVER EVER wash down ..that is the wrost thing you can do!!..See if you can take the covers off and wash them, as for the pillows you can throw them in the dryer with cold air so maybe try to do that with some softner sheets?

really? why is that... i have washed/bleached my down pillows and stuck them in the dryer and never had a problem. the pillows themselves get gross over time and need to be washed

and you are telling me that you dont wash your down comforters?

nope thts what the duvet covers are for and good quality down pillows have an extra cover on them. Washing the down will ruin the feathers inside and they dont' last as long as they should.
