Re: i don't mean to sound ungrateful
My MIL does the SAME thing!! Just recently I told her I had WAY TOO MUCH summer clothing. Well, she comes over for DD's birthday (which she already bought her a yellow tutu for ) and gives me 2 more summer dresses...no gift receipt..nothing...she said, "I know you don't need these but I couldn't help myself" I wanted to say well help yourself!! I could use some nice fall clothes or diapers or something productive, not 2 more dresses to add to her pile of 10567 summer dresses.

Re: i don't mean to sound ungrateful
OMG, My MIL is the same way! She makes it a point to say that her Nana is keeping her grandaughter the best dressed in daycare . Let's not get carried away. Every other kid in daycare is wearing carters too. She does mean well, and I let her have fun with it. My DD does mainly wear the clothes she buys but there are ones that I am like "oh Hell no" I usually donate the ones I don't like. Not even saving it for the second child. Or she will wear the clothes for paint day at daycare.
