WTH!!!! I don't get it!
So finally we get word that the seller's lawyer has the signed contracts in his hand and that he just needs to send them back to our lawyer (copies) our appraisal has been done today. We had signed the contract THREE WEEKS AGO.
THEN i get a f'ing email as I walked into the door saying from our lawyer: " their lawyer emailed me saying that you informed them that you are paying all closing costs and transfer tax" UM I said we are paying closing costs (9,500K plus the taxes for the rest of the year and insurance - our bank gave us a break down). WTH is transfer tax? when did this come into play - no one EVER mentioned it!
On top of it why the hell after we signed the contract, gave you to you guys, they all signed it would you mention all of this NOW????? I just sunk $1,500 to get this rolling and now your adding stuff!!!!!
Our lawyer is flipping out saying he would never allowed us to agree to us paying THEIR cost, this never happens! I think the seller got confused!

BTW I would never recommend buying FSBO. I am sorry I know it works out to saving and you deal with a owner directly and its normally smooth but I will NEVER EVER do it again. I am done with having massive emails/phone calls back and forth - stress and me not knowing what to do has cause more issues then anything.

typically the seller pays the transfer tax- its usually about 1%

i just don't get it anymore. i think she thought when i said we are paying "our" closing costs she thought I would be paying her closing costs (tax) i just hope this doesn't affect anything. Their lawyer is holding the signed contracts hostage and i really hope today they send them back otherwise i think this will be it for us on trying to own a home.

in order to add that to the deal- the lawyer would have to type an addendum and you both have to sign it- unless it is in the original contract

i am not i rather walk away and lick my wounds (sorta speak) i mean the contract is signed by both parties and yea i am not signing off to that to be added. I mean we are taking on the CO for the garage *permits were filed so half the work is done how much more do they want from us?
