holy crap...signing a lease for an apt in LB tomorrow morning
totally unexpected- but something happened over the weekend that rubbed me the wrong way at my current apartment
I rent from a "friend" and it's just not working out anymore
I looked at 5 apartments today - and I am signing the least in the morning!
I will post pics- right on shore rd on the east end
brand new and ocean view!
not what we started the day looking for - but we made an offer (unrented for almost 6 weeks and a 2 bed- 1 beds in LB go over night- 2 and 3 are sitting)
they countered - we accepted
and no fee! (which would have only been a half fee since my BF was acting as my agent)

just waiting on my credit report and it's a done deal
this part always freaks me out- not sure why- I just got a new truck - so I saw my credit 6 weeks ago- nothing has changed
but I hate this part

I know...luckily I don't have much to take with me- so it will be quick
only a 46" tv and a bench
the rest is clothes and kitchen stuff

ok- signing at 9:15 tomorrow
in the next 24 hours I need to
get 2 bank checks- 1st month and sercurity
buy a bed, a couch, dresser and a table
need at least a bed or a couch delivered by wednesday- either will work
call LIPA
Call cable (it has the basic channels so I can live till sunday- I need HBO and this is the only time of year I NEED it)
Pack all my stuff
clean my current place
oh- and work.....

Wow that's fast!!!
Cable should be able to turn on HBO while you're on the phone with them. The sooner they set you up, the sooner they can charge you, so they are usually quick. 
Congrats!!!
What a fresh new start and you get to take advantage of all that LB has to offer in the summer!!

when I decide something- I do it
most places were ready until 8/1
but the one I loved was ready and since we could move right away- we figured we would offer less a month and say we could pay starting wednesday
it worked!

That's great--what a pefect time to move to Long Beach!
1-800- mattres is great if you need a bed in a hurry. They come with that metal frame, so you don't need an actual bed frame/headboard or anything.
I called them from Penn Station after signing a my first lease after college while I was waiting for the train back to my parent's house!

Congrats!! And so jealous! We almost bought a condo on the b'walk almost 10 years ago and decided to get a house instead. While I don't regret my house, I am still sad we didn't take the condo... My DH was living in LB when we met and I had many great summer's there!
