which storage facility?
so our lease is up 6/30 and we are moving in with the ILs.
stupid question - assuming we don't find a house by then - should we choose a storage facility close to the ILs or close to where we want to move?

Depends...
How are you using it? Will you store things you will use regularly? Or do you plan to not open it again until you move?
Will you have moving trucks now or when you buy your house?
How far will you be moving from your ILs? May be worth it to just find the cheapest place if you are not moving far.

close to ils- you may end up changing where you finally end up living.
I had my stuff at Westie Storage before dh and I got married- I highly recommend them- they are pricey- but very clean and since I was putting a mattress, couch and kitchen things- I wanted to make sure the place was immaculate

Where ever you go, just make sure it's clean. I would check the place out before you decide to store there. Especially if you are storing furniture and stuff. But i would totally choose a place close to your IL's. You might change where you want to live.
