been there a few times for DS but really didn't find anything. i had better luck at the outlet at tanger (deer park). u can ask them to measure but overall, they're not as helpful as other locations i've been. worth a try though

I haven't been there in about 3 months. I walked out empty handed because the staff seemed like asking them for any help was a bother. I would not recommend that location.

Re: stride rite outlet in lake success shopping center
I go there pretty often - it is actually the closest stride rite to my house. I find they have a decent selection but, you do have to look through the sizes (which they are often out of) which can be a pain. I have always found the sales people there to be very nice and they have always measured DS for me. I've taken him into regular stride rites as well and the sizing is the same - also, I don't find them to be that much better except not having to look for the sizes - hope this helps!

Re: stride rite outlet in lake success shopping center
I have been there several times and have always had success. I DON"T get DD measured there - not sure if they do it or not. I get her measured at the regular stride rite store then another day go to the outlet. Somedays they have a good selection other days less so - but I have always found something when I go there. It is near my DH's job so he runs in sometimes and picks up a pair for DD too if we need it.

I think I'm going to check them out tomorrow. DD needs sandals.

Re: stride rite outlet in lake success shopping center
I bought both my boys shoes there 2 or 3 weeks ago. I find that sometimes the best thing is to just scan the shelves for the size you want, get together whatever they have in your size and then decide later what style to get. It's easier than picking a style then finding your size. But that's outlets anywhere. I think the staff was fine - it's not a regular store so I don't expect them to be as knowledgeable as I expect from a regular SR store regarding sizing. I got my DS #1 sneakers for $25 that were usually $55 and DS #2 a pair of sandals for $20 that were usually $45.
