Nutramigen babies question?
How did they take to it the first time you gave it to them? Did they like it, or did they totally fuss and not like it? Did they spit up with it?
Doc. put DC on Nutramigen today and I just fed him and he was so mad and was spitting up.

My son wasn't on Nutramigen, but when we switched to Gentlease he definitely hated it and would fight the bottle, but it ended up working for him.
But it took my DS about a week before we noticed a difference.

We used alimentum until a few weeks ago (DD is 10 months now).
We made the switch really early, like first 3 weeks, she wouldnt really drink it as quickly or hungrily as the other stuff but she got over it quickly.
When we changed to lactose free stuff recently though, she totally fussed and made faces about it even though it supposedly tastes much better. Go figure.

My DD has been put on Nutramigen and we didn't see much of a difference in her eating behavior. She doesn't have spit up issues though...she hardly ever spits up. She's on a prescription now, along with the Nutramigen and now we see a difference.

Both kids were on Nutramigen and both adjusted well. No issues and I saw a huge difference immediately

Doc wanted me to supplement the night time bottles with Nutramigen. The first time he drank it down no problem. Then after that he hated it! Fussed, & spit up like crazy. So I started mixing it with BM for a few weeks, and now he will drink a full bottle of the formula without a problem.

My twins were put on nutramigen at 8weeks. They took to it fine. The one thing I noticed is they had 8-10 loose BM a day. After about 1 month my 1 son became very gassy and irritable. My gastro doctor just switched them to elecare b/c they had blood in their stool which I didn't know. I hope this works for them b/c they have been so uneasy for the past few days.

Mine took it at almost 3 months and absolutely hated it at first. It took a little time, but now you would never know he ever hated it. It takes adjusting, especially the later you give it to him/her, but they will take to it, as babies get hungry!!
