Weigh in on lunch order scenario?
Lets say you order lunch with a whole bunch of other people. Lunch comes. There's no list of who ordered what.
Do you... identify your own lunch and retire to your desk, a break room, whatever.
or
Do you... stand around, pick up every piece of food that is NOT yours and repeat "Who's is this? Does anyone know who ordered this? I don't know what it is, what did you order, do you know? Should I open it to find out what it is? I hope the person who's food it is wouldn't mind."
Every single week! I don't understand these people. And it's more than one person, they sound like parrots!

I do this except that I do open the wrappers and smell the food, sometimes I'll take a bite if it looks particularly tasty.

I know of the same parrots. They also do this if a package that is not for them comes in the mail. What is this , who is it for, I wonder what it is.............
When we order lunch we email one person our order she then faxes in the order on a spread sheet in one column is our name in the other our order. When the food comes our name is written on the wrapper or container the food comes in.

We do this in my office too, it works really well and deters people from touching food that isn't there's.

Take your order out and let everyone know that the lunch is in the break room. it's not your resposibility to seek out everyone and their lunch order.

Plus try collecting the money from everyone- NIGHTMARE!
Who needs change, who only has a $50 bill...
Too much stress- I have enough to deal with in doing my job... don't need another job on top of it!
