fitting room cameras?
Ok ladies, I have noticed this in the fitting rooms since I was 12 but never really had a full understanding.
When you go into a fitting room (usually at department stores.. Macy's... Bloomindales, etc.) There is a sign that says "These fitting rooms are monitored by same gender security personnel" Now, I am wondering, does that mean that there is this supposed to refer to the woman monitoring the dressing rooms, letting people in, counting the clothes you bring in, etc. OR ......... are the fitting rooms monitored by a camera in the mirror and watched by a female security guard- to make sure nothing is stolen, etc.?
I know this probably sounds like an idiotic question, but if I am flashing my bare booty to someone trying to squeeze into a pair of jeans, I want to know about it!

as far as i know camera are illegal in fitting rooms and bathrooms.
but i am not 100% sure. i believe that the word "monitored" means that someone is in there at all times, or is supposed to be.

here's a trick I heard about a long time ago...
if you want to check if there is a camera behind the mirror, put your finger up against the mirror (like you're pointing at it). if the reflection of the tip of your finger has a space between the reflection and your actual finger tip, it's just a mirror. if there is no space, there is a camera there.

it IS illegal to have camera's in fitting rooms.
they probably do as a scare tactic so you don't steal, thinking your being watched at all times.
