When curly girls go straight...
So I like to blow my very curly hair out once in a while, but of course it never comes out as nice as when the salon does it. What products do you curly ladies use before your blow out your hair to keep the shine and reduce frizz? I've tried the John Frieda serum and it works ok, but I'm sure there's better stuff out there.
Thanks!

Re: When curly girls go straight...
I have pretty curly hair and I straighten it everyday because I can't seem to find a good gel for the curls. To straighten it though I use Redken mousse and a dab of Biosilk...that's what my girl told me to do and I love it!

For me its not about the product so much about the effort that I put into it. If I rush, my hair looks terrible, if i'm thorough it looks awesome. I put a little soft & silky silk serum in and thats it.

Phytolisse products. And I use a ceramic straightener. Takes half the time as blowing it out.

I agree, which is why I don't do it myself! My hair is very long too so it's impossible to do myself.
I have only found 2 people to blow out my hair perfectly. My hairdresser in RVC, Alex at Salon Pascani, and in Brooklyn there's a "blowout" salon where that's pretty much all they do for $14!!!!! My fave!
My hair is also not kinky curly so it straightens pretty easily.....
