Is the ultrascreen covered by insurance?

the dr had said its up to me if i want to have it or not so DH was thinking that the insurance might think of it as elective. in which case, would they cover it? i have the empire plan (the govt one).

it is best to call them and check. My insurance did but only with a certain code so I made sure that the doctor coded it the right way

It is considered a standard medical test these days - it should be covered by your insurance. Your OB is required to give you as a patient the option to not have any test - since it is part of informed consent but it is considered a standard test.
